Carlo Rino Fall Winter Preview

Joyce and I got invited to the Carlo Rino Fall/Winter 2012 Preview, and we were treated like princesses upon entering the showroom. We were first brought to a table filled with brownies, tarts, round-shaped sandwiches, tarts and cupcakes. I mean, hello, best tea party ever??

For the uninitiated, Carlo Rino is an international fashion goods and accessories brand, mostly selling bags and wallets. Unfortunately, most Singaporeans associate Carlo Rino as a brand that sells bags "our mothers" would buy. Which is why we are here to tell you that it's time you rethink your impression of the old Carlo Rino.

Welcome to the new Carlo Rino - the brand has undergone a major revamp and they are targeting girls of my age group with their new Fall/ Winter Collection. Leaving the showcase, Joyce and I felt the the new designs have cemented Carlo Rino as a refreshed and rejuvenated brand that appeals to young, chic and classy fashionistas!

Here's introducing the four designs for Carlo Rino FW2012. (Hey, you guys are like top-notch VIP here, these are designs that are not even out to the public yet. Some are only available in Oct/ Nov 2012!)

Clockwise from top left:

  • Enigmatic Dainty Ditty Collection - No. 3
  • Vintage Fairy Tale Collection - No. 5
  • Midnight Dreamy Links Collection - No. 3
  • A Tartan Tale Collection - No. 4

We took so many photos at the showcase so scroll down to take a look at how much fun we had!

Joyce with Vintage Fairy Tale No. 5. The design of the bag has illustrations similar to what you see in Fairy Tale books, hence the bag's name. Real pretty and girly right? Makes me wanna give this bag to Goldilocks or Little Red Riding Hood.

Joyce and I absolutely loved the whole Tartan Tale Collection. We liked how its bold stripes of red, green, pink and black screams royalty. I would feel so Kate/ Pippa Middleton carrying this. Move over Princess Eugenie.

Me with Tartan Tale No. 4 - my personal favourite!

Joyce with our friend Jemimah from Jemimah's my uni coursemate and roomie too btw!

Jemimah and I "fighting" over Midnight Dreamy Links No. 5. Also, at the background you see the Enigmatic Dainty Ditty Collection (available Sept/ Oct 2012), which features the jacquard weave of the signature Carlo Rino monogram in gold. It comes in bright pink or forest green leather trims.

Joyce with Carlo Rino wallets. The middle and bottom ones are from the FW2012 Collection. See how our favourite Tartan Tale design (the middle one) stands out??

Joyce with Midnight Dreamy Links No. 3. We love how the bag's design comes perfectly completed with an over-sized gold coloured signature Carlo Rino pad lock.

Look at this! It's toddler-sized boots that I spotted in the showroom! I couldn't help but squeal "I'm so gonna get this for my baby daughter!!!" when I saw it, especially since I was wearing my own JC heeled boots. This is bad guys, I predict i'm going to be shelling out lots of money for my baby boy/ girl. I'm already thinking: Cotton On Kids, Gap Kids, Zara Kids, etc... Uhoh

Look at the pretty goodie bags we were given at the event - ribbons and light pink paper bag? Princess Perfect!

With some of our local bloggers,

With Carlo Rino's brand manager, Access Communications Assoc. Director Georgiana, and Jemimah

With blogger RynaQUE, you can visit her blog at, she kindly organised this event as part of Access Communications, thanks for being such a great host Q!

So, what is THE bag to have this Fall/ Winter? Joyce and I have chosen the Tartan Tale No. 4 - a bowler-shaped bag that we felt was simple, sophisticated and regal. Its size is perfect as well - not too big and not too small. Also, how can you not feel part of British royalty with this bag?

Thanks so much Carlo Rino and Access Communications for inviting us to this wonderful event and making us feel like princesses!
