Bondi & Bronte Beach Rescue

(  /  /  /  / )
It is known to everyone that Sydney, Australia, is home to some of the most famous and finest beaches in the world. I brought Grace to Bondi Beach on her second day in Sydney.
More about Bondi Beach:
"Bondi" or "Boondi" is an Aboriginal word meaning water breaking over rocks. There's never a dull moment at the beach. If you're lucky enough, you might spot celebrities such as Paris Hilton, Snoop Dogg, Hugh Grant, Zac Efron, David Hasslehoff and so on! Also, there's tons of popular cafes, restaurants and hotels with views of the beach. Grace and I tried the famous pork ribs at Hurricane's Grill Steakhouse. The serving was so massive! I suggest that you share a full rack with a friend if you ever chance upon that restaurant. :) I reckon most of you have heard of this famous show called "Bondi Rescue". I've never caught the show but most of my friends got so excited when they told me about the show! So in the show, the Bondi Lifeguards actually perform around five thousand rescues over the summer period. Not only rescues, they also deal with other incidents such as lost children, shark scares, injuries, drunk beach goers and thieves on the beach.

Grace and I rented a body board and we had so much fun riding the waves! Now I understand why surfing has become a lifestyle for the Australians and boy let me tell you, surfing is addictive! We couldn't get enough of the beach so we decided to head to Bronte Beach the next morning. Our time in Bronte Beach was not that long because Grace had to rush off to her faculty appointment at University of Sydney. Our morning started off with our usual cuppa Australian Coffee and my barista friend gave us Easter Bunny ears! It was really nice to just lay on the sand and soak in the picturesque view and Vitamin D.

More about Bronte Beach:
Bronte Beach is popular recreational beach in the eastern suburbs of Sydney, Australia. It is 2km south of Bondi Beach and north of Coogee Beach. The three beaches are linked by a paved coastal footpath along the rocky clifftops. It is pretty frequent that a lot of tourists, local runners, and student associations in various Universities do the beach walk. Though it might sound like it's a long walk but the views are so magnificent it's so worth it. There are a lot of great cafes along Bronte Beach as well. Isn't it amazing? That you get to experience the best of both worlds. Also, at the south end of the beach, there's a 30m Ocean Pool, one of the best known in Sydney. Unfortunately Grace and I were running out of time we didn't get to have a quick dip in the Ocean Pool. Bronte Beach is also home to Bronte Surf Lifesaving Club and is the oldest organization in the world, having been formed in 1903. The beach is widely represented in literature and many poets often found voice on its sands.

Enjoy the pictures! ;)

Fierce and Love,
