Hà Nội

(  /  / )

Xin chào Hà Nội! Living life like a local is so Phở so good! This is why I love to book my accommodation with Airbnb. Drea and I did not have enough time to explore the city of Hanoi properly as we only had half a day to rest before embarking on our journey to Sa Pa. We stayed in this gorgeous bohemian mansion during our time in Hanoi and we had tons of zen moments there. On our first night in Hanoi our gracious host brought us to one of the best authentic Vietnamese restaurants, Chim Sáo, and we had the best salted egg tofu dish there. I still cannot get over how yummy the dish was! The thought of it just got me salivating! We also tried a buffalo dish for the very first time too.

The house is situated away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We did not miss out on the city life though, we got to walk around the city area bright and early in the morning on the day we were headed for Sa Pa. On our last day, our host brought us to the neighborhood wet market on his motorbike. It was quite a fun experience exploring the neighborhood on a motorbike! We had Pho for breakfast and bought some tea leaves to bring home for a quaint tea session with the host and his cats before we return to Singapore.

I love Vietnam so much that I know in my heart that I will definitely come back again! There's so much more to explore though! We've yet to see Halong Bay and other parts of Vietnam too. Check out my Vietnam posts here and here

Oh boy right now I'm craving for a good cuppa cà phê đá (Vietnamese iced coffee). Vietnamese iced coffee is my go-to mood booster especially on scorching hot and humid days! Can't wait to update you guys on my trip to Sa Pa! Stay tuned!
