新加坡

After being away for so many years it's great to be a tourist in your own country again! There's something new every time I return; new mall, new stadium, new shops etc. It's so hard to keep up but this gives me the opportunity to rediscover Singapore and its unique heritage again! My pole friends from Sydney were also here in Singapore for the Miss Pole Dance Asia Pacific weekend as well so that was the perfect opportunity for me to go on a sightseeing and food adventure with them!

Prowled the streets of Tanjong Pagar. There's so many amazing cafe and restaurants in Tanjong Pagar you'd be spoiled for choices! Walk further down towards Telok Ayer and you'd find more amazing cocktail bars in those shophouses!

We tried a variety of toasts from Toast Box. Pretty much toasts and eggs are perfect for breakfast, lunch, tea time or even dinner. We had Toast Box for tea break in the arvo it was so delicious! My Australian friends tried Kaya Toast, Otak Toast and Floss Toast for the first time they all loved it!

So I've heard about the famous Tian Tian Chicken Rice and Maxwell Food Centre. We put a few packets of tissue paper on our table to test out the "Chope" system and went over to the chicken rice stall to queue for our orders. The queue was quite long but we knew it's going to be worth it! We ordered half a roast and half steamed chicken with a plate of vegetables on the side.
Verdict: 1. The "Chope" system worked, we still got our table.
2. The chicken rice was amazeballs we don't even know whether we were addicted to the rice or the chicken. Best plate of chicken rice ever!

Tried the Singapore Sling at The Long Bar. Home to the iconic Singapore Sling cocktail.
FUN FACT: Do you know that the Singapore Sling is created for the ladies 100 years ago?

360 Views of Singapore from Ion Sky. Just stunning!

There's many other places in Singapore I've never been to like the Tree Top Walk at MacRitchie Reservoir, Coney Island, Kusu Island, Changi Broadwalk and the many Heritage Roads! I love to go on a hike or walk in National Parks so getting close to nature is always something I look forward to! I've also yet to try the delicious hawker fare in the East Side of Singapore!

Do let me know what places to check out and the foods to try in Singapore in the comment box below! ;)
