Christmas + Last Quarter at A Glance

( )

Happy Holidays my loves! I truly believe that holidays are about the small details, the traditions you keep, the memories you make with your friends and family, sending Christmas and Thank You cards. Christmas is a day of celebration, joy and to give thanks! Christmas is also a funny time... for some it's a beautiful day filled with love, happiness and light and for others it's like a darkness creeping in suffocating you with sadness, loneliness and lowest of lows. I personally have experienced both ends and as a result I've learnt to give a lot more love to everyone around this time of year more than ever, give love to yourself and then spread love to others. Love costs nothing, so call someone whom you feel might need it and give love abundantly because the ability to give love and be love is abundant within you. Do just that and I believe you are doing Christmas right. Here's wishing you and your loved ones a very Merry Christmas filled with joy, laughter, peace and holiday cheer!

A week back I threw a Christmas Party for my close friends in Singapore. My tradition is to prepare food that are both delicious and satisfying to the body and soul. I come from a Peranakan heritage so richness in flavour runs in my blood. This time, I decided to add in a little more whim to the table decor (note mum's traditional Kokeshi Dolls and other bits and bobs)! T'was great fun and I want to throw a lot more lunch/dinner parties in the future!
21st Asian TV Awards with my bestfriend, J!

Very honored to be part of the panel for Sex in SingCity!

Inspired by Sex and the City, this event is a no-holds barred night where everyone can have fun and authentic discussion about sex, intimacy, pleasure, orgasms and relationships! Whether you are a Carrie, Charlotte, Miranda or Samantha, this event is meant to create that camaraderie, where being confident, sexy and strong are equally embraced!

Organised by Lila Sutra, and BottlesXO, this open dialogue includes a panel discussion by sexperts across related industries from doctors to sexologists, plus learn the art of seductive strip tease by yours truly!

I believe change starts with conversation and the most important ingredient for seduction is being comfortable in your own skin. It was such a fun night of retail therapy, wine, nosh and beauty treats!

Hung out with my best babe from England when she was in Singapore for a short period of time. Though we're continents apart and hardly see each other, our bond is incredibly strong and I love how we'd always support each other. From living and working abroad to getting excited about LIFE to surrounding ourselves with the best people and constantly lifting and empowering each other.

When it comes to friendships, it is important to have people that will inspire you to be a better person, to provide you with motivation to achieve your goals, empower you to make the changes you need to succeed and cheer on your success. When you keep surrounding yourself with amazing people, you're surrounding by life. You'll be less stressed and you'd find more joy in everyday life.

Sunday Brunch with my favorite Bubba Jack!

For Halloween '16, I went as Netflix and Chill.

Exploring Little India during the week of Deepavali, or the Festival of Lights. That place is worth checking out especially during the festive period. They'd hold a three-week bazaar in anticipation of the Deepavali celebrations. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience of just walking through the market  and being in the midst of the activities from every direction.

When your friend has a house that needs to be torn down and threw an epic paint party to express your creativity and have fun! This I must say... one of the best parties in 2016.
Jodie and I had our longest birthday bash - we had a month long celebration. Starting from our birthday trip to Hong Kong and took every single opportunity to celebrate life and throw parties for our friends in Singapore! Fun times and I wonder what we'd do for 2017?!

On my actual birthday I suited up and had longevity noodles all day!

For those who are going through a hard time now, or have been through a hard time, things can get better. You don't have to be embarrassed or ashamed or feel silly... because there is no reason to be, and you will learn how to deal with things a lot better. Please be kind to everyone. Know that everyone is fighting a battle you don't know about. Spread love, be kind and be loved.

Love,  J
